יום אחד אחרי ארוחת ערב לימדתי את בני הבכור איך לקרוא סינית – רק את המילים הפשוטות, "שמים, ארץ, אנשים ואדמה, אבא, אמא…" לימדתי אותו מספר פעמים, אבל הוא עדיין לא הצליח לכתוב אותן. הוא כתב את המילה הראשונה ואז שכח את המילה הבאה. הכעס בתוכי התעורר, הפניתי לעברו מבט כועס וצעקתי בקול רם: "כמה אתה טיפש! אתה אפילו לא יכול ללמוד כמה מילים בודדות!". בני הבכור נבהל ורץ לעמוד בפינה. נזפתי בו: "בוא הנה ותמשיך לכתוב!". הוא לא בא, אז תפסתי אותו בחוזקה ומשכתי אותו לכסא. כשראיתי את מבטו מעורר הרחמים של בני, חשתי כאב דוקר בלבי. בכיתי, חזרתי לחדרי והתפללתי לאלוהים: "אלוהים! ברגע שבני אכזב אותי, לא הצלחתי לשלוט בכעס שלי. אני לא רוצה להתייחס לילדים שלי כך. אלוהים, בבקשה עזור לי." אחרי התפילה, נרגעתי אט אט.

God says, “The work of the last days is to speak words. Great changes can be effected in man by means of words. The changes now effected in these people upon their accepting these words are much greater than those effected in people upon their accepting the signs and wonders of the Age of Grace. For, in the Age of Grace, the demons were cast out from man with the laying on of hands and prayer, but the corrupt dispositions within man still remained. Man was healed of his sickness and forgiven his sins, but as for just how man was to be purged of the corrupt satanic dispositions within him, this work had yet to be done. Man was only saved and forgiven his sins for his faith, but the sinful nature of man was not extirpated and still remained within him. The sins of man were forgiven through the agency of the incarnate God, but this does not mean that man no longer has sin within him. The sins of man could be forgiven through the sin offering, but as for just how man can be made to sin no more, and how his sinful nature may be extirpated completely and transformed, he has no way of solving this problem. The sins of man were forgiven, and this is because of the work of God’s crucifixion, but man continued to live within the corrupt satanic disposition of old. This being so, man must be completely saved from his corrupt satanic disposition, so that his sinful nature may be completely extirpated, never to develop again, thus enabling the disposition of man to be transformed. All our brothers and sisters know the small scroll prophesied in the Book of Revelation, but everyone has their own opinion when it comes to what the scroll refers to. Some people believe the small scroll refers to the Bible, but there are also some who believe: As it says in the Bible “And I saw in the right hand of Him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. … And no man … was able to open the book, neither to look thereon” (Revelation 5:1–3), “Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof” (Revelation 5:5), it’s clear that the small scroll is sealed with seven seals, that the content of the scroll is not recorded in Revelation, and that no one can open it but the Lord returned. Since we read the Bible every day, how could it be the small scroll? So what does the small scroll actually refer to? How will it be opened? The Lord Jesus said, “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:12–13). The Lord prophesied that when He returns in the last days He will express His words and guide us into all truths. Now is the end of the last days. The Lord has already returned and opened the scroll and the seven seals. So what does this scroll that has been opened have to do with the truths expressed by the Lord returned in the last days? In human eyes, these portions of His work that the Lord Jesus carried out after His resurrection were very small things, but the way I see it, every single thing was so meaningful, so valuable, and they were all so important and weighty."
