Discussion: How the Prophecies of the Moshiach’s Coming Will Be Fulfilled

According to the prophecies, we all know that Moshiach will come to rebuild the Temple and bring us a peaceful world. So we are full of yearning for the arrival of Moshiach as well as full of imagination of the fulfillment of the prophecies of His coming. Some people say: When Moshiach comes, the Temple will be rebuilt soon, the peaceful world will appear soon, and we will be soon brought into a wonderful destination as well. Is such a viewpoint correct? Today, let’s discuss together how the prophecies will be fulfilled and how G-d’s work will be accomplished!

let’s see how G-d’s promise to Abraham was fulfilled and accomplished first.
The LORD said, “And said, By Myself have I sworn, said the LORD, for because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son: That in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is on the sea shore; and your seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because you have obeyed My voice” (Genesis 22:16-18).

We didn’t see that Abraham’s offspring immediately increased in Abraham’s time. But as time went by, his offspring became more and more, and now have spread all over the world. G-d’s blessing upon him was also accomplished little by little. Clearly, G-d fulfilled His promise to Abraham by steps.

Besides, in Noah’s time, G-d gave the revelation to Noah that He would destroy the world with a flood. But before the flood truly came, G-d allowed Noah to build the ark and preach the gospel, giving the people at the time enough time to repent. 120 years later, the flood befell. From this, we can see that there is also a process between G-d’s revelation to Noah and the arrival of the flood.

Through the communication above, can we gain any enlightenment? The prophecies are fulfilled step by step. Only when G-d’s work has been accomplished will the prophecies be completely fulfilled. We can also see that G-d does His work by steps. It is very practical and normal, and at the same time, we can see G-d’s almightiness and sovereignty.

Now it is the critical time for us to welcome the coming of Moshiach. How should we view these prophecies about the coming of Moshiach? Through our discussion above, we have understood that G-d does His work by steps according to His plan. So, the viewpoint—Once Moshiach comes, the peaceful world will appear soon—is not realistic. Moshiach will certainly bring us peace when He comes, but this will be the final result achieved by G-d’s work. G-d will accomplish it according to His plan and His steps of work.

Let’s read more prophecies together.
“And he said, Go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end” (Daniel 12:9).
“A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened” (Daniel 7:10).

From these prophecies, we can see that Moshiach will express words to do judgment work when He comes. When He speaks and utters, His chosen people can understand His words and attain purification in His judgment of words. Moshiach will classify everything according to their kind, reward the good and punish the evil through judgment work. In the end, the kingdom of G-d will appear and then the world will become peaceful and wars won’t happen anymore. All this will appear after the disasters. So, the truth is not that once G-d comes and speaks, the world will be peaceful immediately.

“G-d makes His own choices and His own plans when He does His work; moreover, He has His own objectives and His own methods. Whatever work He does, He has no need to discuss it with man or seek his advice, much less notify each and every person of His work. This is the disposition of G-d, which should, moreover, be recognized by everyone. If you desire to witness the appearance of G-d, to follow G-d’s footsteps, then you must first walk away from your own conceptions. You must not demand that G-d do this or that, much less should you place Him within your own confines and limit Him to your own conceptions. Instead, you should ask how you are to seek G-d’s footprints, how you are to accept G-d’s appearance, and how you are to submit to the new work of G-d; this is what man should do. Since man is not the truth, and is not possessed of the truth, he should seek, accept, and obey.”

“G-d is silent, and has never appeared to us, yet His work has never stopped. He surveys the whole earth, and commands all things, and beholds all the words and deeds of man. He conducts His management, with measured steps and according to His plan, silently, and without dramatic effect, yet His footsteps advance, one by one, ever closer to mankind, and His judgment seat is deployed in the universe at the speed of lightning, following which His throne immediately descends into our midst. What a majestic scene that is, what a stately and solemn tableau! Like a dove, and like a roaring lion, the Spirit comes into our midst. He is wisdom, He is righteousness and majesty, and He comes surreptitiously into our midst, wielding authority and filled with love and mercy. No one is aware of His arrival, no one welcomes His arrival, and, what is more, no one knows all that He is about to do. Man’s life goes on as before, his heart no different, and the days go by as usual.”

Even if man makes an effort for a time, it is so weak that it cannot withstand a single blow, for the effort of man is always for his own sake and not for others. Man is always selfish, while God is forever selfless. ”
"……these relationships aren’t established on the flesh, but on the foundation of God’s love. There are almost no interactions based on the flesh, but in the spirit there is fellowship as well as love, comfort, and provision for one another. This is all done on the foundation of a heart that satisfies God. These relationships aren’t maintained by relying on a human philosophy of life, but they are formed very naturally through the burden for God. They don’t require human effort—they are practiced through the principles of the word of God.”

결혼이나 직장 문제가 순탄하지 못하고, 또는 질병의 고통이 닥치면 하나님께서 우리에게 허락하신 시련이라는 것을 알게 됩니다. 우리는 욥이나 베드로를 본받아 시련 속에서도 하나님을 위해 굳게 서겠다는 의지를 굳히기도 합니다. 하지만 많은 경우 그 시련을 어떻게 헤쳐 나가야 하는지 모릅니다. 그 결과, 늘 염려와 두려움과 고통에 시달리고, 나아가 점점 더 소심해지고 나약해지며 하나님을 오해하게 됩니다. 그래서 많은 크리스천들은 어떻게 하면 시련을 아무 문제 없이 잘 넘어갈 수 있는지 궁금해합니다. 하나님의 말씀을 공유합니다. 이 말씀을 통해 그 길을 찾을 수 있을 것입니다. 하나님의 말씀: 『네가 시련 속에서 하나님이 무엇을 하려는지 모르고 하나님이 어떤 사역을 이루려는지도 모르지만, 사람에 대한 하나님의 생각이 언제나 좋다는 것을 알고, 진심으로 그를 추구하면 그가 언제나 너를 떠나지 않고 결국에는 반드시 너를 온전케 할 것이고, 또한 사람을 적합한 종착지로 인도할 것임을 알아야 한다. … 실제 체험에서 너는 먼저 하나님 말씀을 먹고 마실 줄 알아야 한다. 하나님의 말씀에서 네가 진입해야 할 것을 찾고 너의 부족한 부분을 찾아 너의 실제 체험에 맞추어 진입해야 하며, 하나님 말씀에서 실천할 부분을 찾아 훈련해야 한다. 그중 하나가 하나님 말씀을 먹고 마시는 것이다. 교회 생활을 중단해서는 안 되고 정상적인 영 생활이 있어야 하며, 지금 자신의 모든 상태를 하나님 앞에 털어놓아야 한다. 하나님의 사역이 어떻게 바뀌든 너는 정상적인 영 생활을 유지해야 한다. … 시련이 아무리 커도 하나님과의 정상 관계를 잃지 말고, 기도하고 교회 생활을 하면서 형제자매들을 떠나지 말아야 하며, 하나님이 너에게 시련을 줄 때도 진리를 구할 수 있어야 한다. … 연단을 받을 때는 적극적인 면에서 진입해야 하고, 배워야 할 공과를 배워야 한다. 하나님께 기도하고 하나님 말씀을 보면서 자신의 상태와 대조해 자신의 부족함을 알고 자신이 배워야 할 공과가 아주 많다는 것을 깨달아야 한다. 연단 속에서 진실하게 추구할수록 자신의 부족함을 더 잘 깨달을 수 있다.』 하나님의 말씀처럼 우리가 시련을 문제 없이 잘 넘어가려면 먼저 적극적인 자세로 그 시련을 대해야 합니다. 그 시련은 하나님의 허락하심이 있어 찾아 온 것이며, 시련이 닥쳐도 그것은 하나님의 사랑이고, 하나님이 우리와 함께하신다는 것을 믿어야 합니다. 또한 하나님이 예비하신 것은 가장 좋은 것이며, 우리를 구원하기 위해 준비하셨음을 믿어야 합니다. 우리가 순종하는 자세로 진리를 찾고 구하면 하나님께서 우리가 잘 헤쳐 나갈 수 있도록 지켜 주실 것입니다. 또한 시련이 닥칠 때일수록 기도에 더 많이 힘써야 합니다. 기도는 당연히 듣기 좋은 말만 하는 것이 아니라 마음 깊은 곳에 있는 진실한 생각, 어려움, 패괴함을 하나님께 고백하고 이를 정결케 해달라고 기도해야 합니다. 또 한편으로는 시련이 닥치면 마음이 약해질지라도 영생활을 계속 유지해야 합니다. 말씀을 많이 보고, 형제자매들과 진리 교제를 더 많이 가지며, 하나님과의 정상 관계를 유지해야 합니다. 그러면 하나님이 인도해 주시고 그의 뜻을 알 수 있도록 깨우쳐 주실 것입니다. 따라서 우리가 받는 고통은 다 사탄에게서 비롯됐음을 알게 되며, 하나님을 향한 자신의 믿음도 매우 작다는 것을 보게 될 것입니다. 또한 하나님이 하시는 일에 대해 많은 관념을 가지고 있는 자신을 보며, 진리를 추구해야겠다는 마음이 더 불타오르고, 하나님을 의지해 시련을 헤쳐 나가겠다는 의지도 다지게 될 것입니다. ❤️❤️
